I grew up in a very typical traditional family. Mom, dad, brother, and a dog. My dad worked and my mom was an amazing homemaker. She kept an immaculate home, made delicious, nutritious meals and the house ran like a well oiled machine.
As my brother and I would arrive home from school, mom was typically watching soap operas while ironing. She NEVER sat down during the day, the was always something to be attended to. On one particular day she was ironing our sheets, pillow cases and all. Nothing particularly struck me about it then, but now as a grown woman, and mother to two men it got me thinking.....is it bad to have wrinkles in the sheets? should I strive for a perfect home? is perfection the goal?
NO. Life is about living, wrinkles in the sheets and all.
